Miss California Carrie Prejean Controversial Question!

Meet the controversial Carrie Prejean, Miss California USA who got a difficult question from gay celebrity blogger Perez Hilton during the Miss USA beauty pageant. Miss California finished as the first runner-up to the eventual winner.

Miss USA was crowned on Sunday night and while Miss North Carolina Kristen Dalton was bestowed the title it was an answer during the Q&A from Miss California Carrie Prejean that has grabbed headlines.

As Prejean stood center stage she randomly drew a number from a bowl that placed her in position to answer a question from celebrity blogger Perez Hilton. The openly-gay Hilton asked Prejean about her views on gay marriage and whether it should be legal and it was clear he did not like her response.

Prejean addressed the question with confidence stating, “We live in a land where you can choose same-sex marriage or opposite. And you know what, I think in my country, in my family, I think that I believe that a marriage should be between a man and a woman. No offense to anybody out there, but that’s how I was raised.”

Many believe Prejean’s answer may have cost her the crown as she finished first runner-up.
