Australian Woman wins $466,000 harassment payout

A WOMAN in Australia who was sexually harassed while working at a prominent Adelaide building company has been awarded $466,000 in damages. Malgorzata Poniatowska was awarded the sum, believed to be a record sexual harassment payout in South Australia,

Federal Court found Ms Poniatowska had been sexually harassed by two employees and ordered the company pay $466,000 plus costs.Ms Poniatowska worked for Hickinbotham, which claims to be the largest house-builder in SA, for 12 months in 2005 and 2006.

"I am very happy," said Ms Poniatowska
