Indian Idol 5 started from April 26 . Indian Idol is a music reality show being telecasted on Sony entertainment television . This is the 5th season for this show . The judges of Indian Idol 5 are Anu Malik , Sunidhi Chauhan and Salim Merchant .
Last four seasons, Indian Idol has been looking for a "complete package", a perfect mix of voice, looks and the "X factor" but not this time. Its back to basics this time as it searches for the perfect playback singing voice. All judges are scouting for "a voice that touches million hearts" which might not necessarily have a star quality.
"Our focus this time is to find perfect playback voice. People have been complaining that in the process of finding a complete package, we sometimes have neglected that unique voice. So this time we are looking for a competent singer," said Sunidhi. she is looking for excellence in voice, one that can sing anything from 'Ghazhal' to 'Rock' on
