Cynthia Hampton photos

The 46-year-old Cindy Hampton, a former chairman of the Senate Republican Policy Committee John Ensign, was also once his mistress, alleges the Las Vegas Review-Journal. She is married to Douglas Hampton, Senator Ensign's former legislative aide.

Senator Ensign confessed to the extra marital affair at a press conference on June 16, 2009 in Las Vegas.

"I came back home to Nevada to come forward and explain to the citizens of our state something that I was involved in about a year ago," said Ensign of his extramarital affair that allegedly involved former campaign aide Cindy Hampton. "Last year I had an affair. I violated the vows of my marriage."
